Welcome to Open Mic Night

Open Mic is a fun event that was first initiated as a fund raiser under the direction of the Ways and Means Committee.

Our very first Open Mic was held on September 8, 2007, and is now held on a regular basis on the second Saturday of each month, starting at 8:00PM.  It is held in the downstairs auditorium of our Parish Hall, making lots of room for those who regulary attend and participate.

An admission fee of $5.00 single is collected at the door.  Regular canteen service, and there is only one sale of "spin tickets" on the floor during our intermission.

The number of performers varies from month-to-month, and which varies the number of songs each performer is permitted to sing. Just to make it an even more fun night, there is a "jam session" held at the end of the show whereby all the performers go on stage and sing one song with all the other performers accompanying them.

The show usually runs from 8:00PM to 11:30PM, with an average attendance of approximately 85 - 120 people.   All proceeds from this show, which usually averages over $500, is placed in the Parish's general account to help pay the invoices for the Church and the Parish Hall.

Please make an effort to attend at least one of these Open Mic shows, and we suspect you will come back for more!!!
